Help with ps3 online?

Hi, i got a new ps3 about 2 weeks ago and i wanted to play online. I have wireless internet and was able to set up an account on the playstation network. After i tried connecting online for mgs4, it would always say ';Access point not detected'; and I went upstairs and my laptop and desktop computers werent connecting to the internet. So my electrician said to unplug to wireless router to get the computers to work. So, wenever i try to connect online with my ps3, the computers disconnect. Anyone know how to hel me??????Help with ps3 online?
first connect your ps3 to your modem with the Ethernet cable it came with and if this problem doesn't happen then you're good. to set it up wirelessly make sure you go into all the correct setting and also try disabling Upnp and this should help. if the problem continues go to http://portforward.com/ and set up a static ip (requires some advanced steps but should fix it )Help with ps3 online?
The exact same thing happened to me, you have to contact your internet service provider, our IPs box got hit by lightning, and we had to reset it.
This is because the PS3 is too greedy for internet in a way. It's so powerful that it's wi-fi overruns your computer's. But there is a solution. Here's how it goes:

1. Connect your PS3 to the wi-fi

2. Have your computer's search for a new wireless access point

3. PLAYSTATION 3 should be the name of one of the access points. Have your computers connect to it

4. Your PS3 and computers are all connected to the internet, problem solved
