I found a D Link Air-plus Extreme G wireless router lying around the house and i wanted to get wireless internet to play ps3 Online i have a modem Motorola surfboard model SB5100 connected to my desktop i tried fiddling with it but each time i connected it together i couldn't use the internet the status would say connected and be running but i couldn't view any pages or go on email.

You hook it to the same ports the linksys uses. The wan port goes to the modem, the lan ports connect to pcs. Hook it up, turn off the modem, router, and all pcs, reboot in that order. If you want to connect wireless, you open your wireless software up on that pc. If it asks for a key, you will most likely need to reset the router to factory conditions. Download the manual for it from the router mfgs website. It will tell you how. Dont forget to set up the security on it.How to Hook up wireless?
