I have to deploy kandahar afghanistan...and i have lots Q to ask.....as army?

Q1.'m in Army and my mos is 88M basically..am i going to deal with IED's a lot? the area i'm going nothing on there my unit have to built fob and ...shix....can u guess which area of kandahar my asxi is going?



Q2..How fast is internet i'm kinda addicted to internet just can't live without how fast is internet over there? am i able to play ps3 online games like COD MW2..and how much do i have to pay per month?



Q3.is 88M is most dangerous job in the army? cuz i see lot a soldiers get killed by IED on army times.. 10 out of 10...T_T....



Q4 my friend is in afghanistn right now am i chance to go to diffren FOB meet him? she waz my best friend..back ait...



Lastly i'm in E-3 i'm single and get 1400$ a month right now how much i will make it over there?

1- Yes, there is a good chance you will encounter IED's.



2. When it's working, it's usually a decent speed but sometimes the internet will be out for days.



3. No. Think of the infantrymen or combat engineers (who go LOOKING for IED's)



4. Maybe, you'll have to get approval from your commander, we had some guys that were able to do similar things. It depends on how close your camps are and if there's ever any traffic between the two.



5. If you don't blow all your money and you don't have a whole lot of bills, you can easily come back with 20k or more.I have to deploy kandahar afghanistan...and i have lots Q to ask.....as army?

As an E-3, you will also make HostileFire/Imminent Danger Pay, so add on about $250 per month. I got Hazard Duty pay, not sure if you will too. Thats about another $100 ish a month. All tax free. I also recieve BAS and BAH too so of course that increases it a lot.



You'll learn to live without internet. They have things you can go on but they are public.

the internet in theater isn't bad but definitely nothing like back in the states

every job is dangerous there are just different things everyone needs to deal with

Afghanistan is a big country you probably wont be at the same place your friend is

as for pay you will get $250 hostile fire $100 location roughly $380 BAS you still get your base pay and there is $5.50 a day per Diem you get when you redeploy (your unit should be going over all of this with you)
