Should I get a PS3 or should I keep my Xbox 360?

HI,



I currently have a Xbox 360 (I bought it last September), but I was wondering if I should sell it and buy a PS3 instead.

My reasons are:

1) Twice as many of my freinds have Ps3s rather than Xboxs



2) Xbox live isn't anything special. it's good, but not amazing. seems the same as the PS3s



3) Ps3 seems to have better games now than Xbox. (A year ago Xbox had many more good games than PS3) I mean people think the best games on xbox are halo and gears of war, they are both good, but are becoming a bit outdated. resistance 2 has 60 player online.



4) the PS3 is supposed to have better graphics, or be able to have better graphics and gameplay in the future.



Could someone name all of the exclusive releases for the PS3 and Xbox for the future. I mean is Time Splitters only going to xbox 360 and will Star wars battlefront 3 only be on Xbox 360? does PS3 have anything amazing lined up?

Also, is resistance 2 better than halo, and is Motorstorm 2 better than any racing game on Xbox 360? The past with both of these consoles seems irrelevant because they are pretty much the same now. I want to know if the PS3 will be better in the next year.



Finally, Are third party games better on Xbox 360 or Ps3 or are they the same? I heard fallout 3 is better on xbxox but how can it be if tit is made for both consoles and the PS3 is supposed to be more powerful.

Secondly, do the research yourself. Look at the exclusive for each console and actually read about them and what they offer. I could spend the afternoon looking up and listing all the exclusives for each system, but titles won't tell you anything about the games or their content.



To address the online gaming issue, although it's a pay service, XBOX Live is FAR superior to the PSN. I own both and since I got my 360 (Owned the PS3 for a year first), I haven't touched it for anything but Little Big Planet and Blu-ray. It doesn't sound like you really used all that XBL has to offer. Did you have a gold membership?



Ultimately it comes down to what games you would like to play, and who you want to play them with. I can tell you that with PS3 sales continuing to slump and the 360 continuing to have record sales... far surpassing the PS3, PS3 exclusives will become harder to find. Lately when there have been 360 exclusives, it's been because the developers have either been frustrated with PS3 development, or have seen it as a waste of time. Where there have been PS3 exclusives, SONY has thrown money at them. I'm not counting Developers funded or owned by either, btw.



None of that matters if you truly do like the games on the PS3 and want to play against your PS3 only friends. Just make sure you'll be happy in the long run... do the research. Read about the games.

If most of your friends have the PS3 you should get it too!!! I love my husband's PS3 I play all the time... and when u play with friends is more fun :)

the elite models sell used for about 30 bucks so keep it or give it to a younger sibling and definitely buy the ps3
Ps3 does not have better graphics, there are just as good in their own ways.

The most important factor: Who are you going to want to play ONLINE with? xbox live has the best online service ever, but if your friends are playing on the other one, might as well go for it.
360. Definately. Tell you friends to get off of resistance and get on some halo or gears.
Dude the ps3 is amazing, i had a xbox last year then i sold and got a ps3 for new years, trust me mate the ps3 is worth having just for its blue ray capabilities, i mean blue ray movies are in such unbelievably amazing quality, perfect for a hd tv.
