URGHH WHY IS CALL OF DUTY 6 (ps3) SO HARD ONLINE.?

-Everyone freaking sneaks up on me, I never get shot from the front, it's always from the back.

-I go like 4 and 22 it's so humiliating.

-This is my first console FPS and I've only been playing like Sunday, and I hate being matched up with freaking players who have a 2.00 KDR when mine is 0.45.

-Everytime I watch how I die, it's always from someone who sits in one spot with a heart beat sensor.

-I expected to be crappy, but this is beyond what I imagined.

-If I put my sensitivity higher, I have a hard time aiming. If I put it lower, I have a hard time reacting.

-Everyone's got better guns, perks, and upgrades ):

-The maps seem ridiculously huge compared to the ones in Call of Duty 4.

-When do I know when to put down my sights?

-How can I rank up faster for better gear?

-Can someone help me? I'm on the PS3.

-Where do I hide?

-Is it bad that I always get the ';Nomad'; accolade? Should I be running less?URGHH WHY IS CALL OF DUTY 6 (ps3) SO HARD ONLINE.?
I highly recommend that you go play Halo for about a week or two. I found out that Halo is the perfect stepping stone for newb FPS players. It takes longer for ur enemy to kill you, you can get used to the controls. Halo isn't anything like MW2 mind you, but it'll help. 0.45 kdr rlly isn't that bad 4 a beginner. at least it ins't below 0.

-Leave ur sensitivity on medium. I nvr go above 3.

-The only time u don't sight is when a guy pops up right in front of u. Too far to stab but not far enough to ads. (aim down sight). At middle range and the guy knows you're there, shoot and ads at the same time. that way, u'll be likely to get the 1st shot and be accurate. When u get better, try drop shots. Works wonders.

-You can rank up by playing alot. No matter how bad u are you still get match bonuses. Recommend playing objective based games 1st. Capture the flag, domination etc. Start SnD when u're confident. It's alot harder but the rewards are greater.(500 a kill)

-You don't neccesasarily need to 'hide'. The only time you hide is when u're hurt. Camping is looked down upon in the gaming world but it works very well. Nvr camp playing TDM tho.

-Accolades are mini achivements. None are bad. If u're new, i think u should hake it slow, tag behind the best guy on ur team and watch his back while observing how he play. No matter how good you are, it's not possible to not get killed in a TDM.

When you get independent enough, start thinking about ur class load-out. Are u a sniper? CPB freak? Middle ranged maniac? A fren of mine lugs his Barret 50 cal. ACOG everywhere he goes.

My main load-out is:

Pri:Scar-H (FMJ)

Sec: Model 1887 (Akimbo)

Equip: Semtex

Sec Equip: Flash

Perk 1: Sleight of Hand Pro

Perk 2: Hardline Pro

Perk 3: Scramler Pro

Deathstreak: Final Stand

I luv this class. XDURGHH WHY IS CALL OF DUTY 6 (ps3) SO HARD ONLINE.?
cause people camp hide then knife u my friend got 32 kills online by just knifing people and his twin bro got 30 kills with just the riot shield
Firsrt off, dont give up! camping is a huge part of this game no matter how many people say its cheap. If you watch the best players in a game the majority of the time they are camping. Also try different weapons and perks mix them up,Stopping power is by far the best perk their is. I highly recommend this for all new players. Also try different games sabotage, headquarters, any games where the objective is not killing the enemy. You will be suprised the kills and points you will earn in a game. This is also a great way to rank up. In my opinion I would start with a medium sensitivity just keep playing, get on youtube learn new tricks and tips, there is a whole variety of things you can learn about this game just from watching videos, also observe the people playing on your team who do really well. But for the most part Dont Give Up! because you cant get any worse, only better ;) Hope this helps if you want hit me up online sometime Jack_Doss we have a small clan thats all about helping each other and having fun!
Try playing Search and Destroy- you'll have less deaths, and its not as fast paced so you'll have more time to react. You get a lot more points per kill and for planting/defusing the bomb too so you can rank up faster.

Once you get better, you'll aim down the sights as a reflex. If they're close, shoot from the hip.

For sensitivity, start around medium if you can, and as you get used to it, move it up a notch and you'll get used to a higher sensitivity.

Modern Warfare 2 is a lot faster than CoD4 but once you get used to it its not bad, and try staying in one spot for a game and see if you do better.

Good luck
-If it's your first console FPS, how used to the controls are you? That takes practice.

-What kind of connection do you have? If yours is not so good and the others are on/close to the server, that means they're doing things before you know they're doing them.

-There seem to be a number of people online with a lot of practice and skills that seem to be inhumanly good. Some are. Some have modded controllers, or dots on their screen, or lag switch, or who knows what.

-COD multiplayer, like GoW and the like, especially in deathmatch and particularly everyone for themselves deathmatch is hard.

-Have you played through the campaign on veteran? And done all the spec ops?

You'll need to keep working at practicing. And leveling to get those guns, perks, upgrades. In the meantime, try games that are more objective based, the capture the flag and king of the hill type games. 1-on-1 is especially brutal.

Take it easier on the rushing around, check your back frequently, and get into cover when you can when you need to. Or run all the time and never stop, go in a pattern. Some maps/game types favor one more than the other, depending upon the other players.

Watch online videos of gameplay to see how others play. Get familiar with the maps and the locations of objects and favorite hiding places. Reload frequently, early but only whenever it's safe.

It's just hard.
First off, you'll want stopping power as a perk, that is a great perk. Also, I like Commando because it lets you knife father. You just need to play more.... There isnt really an uber guide to get good at this game. My k/d ratio is 2.14. You might just be one of those players that needs time and practice. I have been playing Call of Duty since it came out. Also, you can hook up a keyboard/mouse to the ps3, if your better with those controls.
