Hi our computer has gone to be repaired so we set up our laptop with our wireless router (through an ethernet cable connected to the laptop). so my son can continue playing his PS3 online, but when he tries to sign in the PS3 is telling him it can't find an access point then numbers in brackets Could someone please tell me why this is happening and how i can rectify it. Please note not very knowledgable when it comes to computers.

Is there any software you need to install for him to use this on the lap top that you had on your Computer?
If not I am not quite sure! if you do no get anymore answers, I will post another answer in the evening as my partner works in I.T (at work now) and I will ask him when he gets in (around 5) so he should know :o) sorry I could not be of help now tho x
Sorry i took so long to get back to you (just remembered) asked partner he said there might be a setting on your router that only allowers one connection. He assumes that if you un plug the laptop and use your internet so its wireless it may possibly work. Cannot really think of anything else hope this works x
