How do i go online with my 40gb ps3?

I have wifi wireless in my house. when i try to go online it says ';no ethernet cable..';. i was under the impression that 40gb ps3 could go online wirelessly.

very easy. u go to settings, scroll all the way down to network settings, then go to internet connection settings and select wireless internet connection and then your online! i have a 60 gb and thats wat i did and it works perfect. should work for the 40 gb cause all ps3's have wifi. PLEASE DONT WASTE UR CASH ON A DUMB ROUTER OR ANYTHING STUPID LIKE THAT!!How do i go online with my 40gb ps3?
you may have to get a router! my boyfriend did. you can also call PS3 there should be a number on your box or in the manual. they can give you good help and walk you through hooking it up or let you know if you need to get a router.
The 40GB only has the capability for a router. Not wifi. If it did, it would wifi on the box. But it only says bluetooth.

my 40 gig got online wireless just fine.

i have no password or anything on my network though, which made it easy.

but it found it and was connected the first time i turned it on as i went through the setup.
A lot of people seem to think that wifi means getting internet magically. You cannot just pull signals out of the air without something broadcasting it first. If you want to get online wirelessly you'll need a wireless router to be hooked up to your internet connection (which then broadcasts the wireless signal).



After you set up the router just follow the manual the other person linked.
i think u have t get a network adapter. u could also go to best buy if its in ur area
