Hello im getting a ps3 for christmas and i want to get online on my ps3 but my biggest concern is how will i do it, so a friend told me to get a router for the wi-fi but i have my internet through cricket cellphone and its the type of modem you put in a laptop and i was wondering will a router work through this modem THANKSWould a cricket internet modem work with a router for i so go online on my ps3?
nah, it wont work. cricket is actually real fast dial up, and xbox and ps3 needs to be wireless or broadband/dsl. if youve got 3g cell phone internet and a phone that will tether to the internet or an app to do it, u can use your laptop as the modem by creating a bridge between the wireless connection and the local whatever the ethernet plug is. i do it with my G1
