How can I go online with my son's ps3?

I have clearwire and a wireless router. I hooked it up correctly as my internet and clearwire phone service work properly, but he can't get online unless he hooks my clearwire modem up to his console directly. He tells me he needs to put something on the ps3 so it can receive the wireless signal like his friends 360? I called clearwire and they tell me the wireless router should work. Any ideas? How can I go online with my son's ps3?
How old is the ps3? There shouldn't be anything needed to add on to connect to a wireless router. Thats just stupid. Call tech support for sony, or for your wireless service for specific details to be as safe as you can be. The ps3 walks you through the process, so there should be no problem. The guy with the answer about using the routers WEP key is correct. However, there may (MAY not DEFINITELY) be settings you have to change on your router to be able to use it. For example, I couldn't connect without lowering my security a little because the systems aren't made to just connect easy to a secure configured router. sure, i could have manually connected the ps3 by doing things manually and all that, but just to play a game, i think i'll just deal with lower security, considering how much of a threat things are really NOT. Remember, nothing is truly ever secure, and if someone were trying to hack you or something, its not like they could be stopped if they reaaaaally wanted to get in.How can I go online with my son's ps3?
Check if your router has a WEP key..........if it does go to connection set up in the ps3 settings and set up a wireless connection with the WEP key
