I have Call of Duty 4 on Ps3 with an online account. I know you go into online, then invite friends, but every time I do this it says something like, ';Unable to connect to host.'; I have wireless broadband but I have ethernet cable as well. Ps3 connection is wireless.How do I play Call Of Duty 4 online with friends on Ps3?
firstly wait until you are all sat in a lobby, then get the host to send the invites out.
if you still have trouble try turning off the PS3 resetting your router, then fire the PS3 back up when the router has come back online.
you may not be a capable game host depending on your upload speed so don't be surprised if you cant host games yourself.
failing all that you may need to contact your ISP and explain the situation, it may be that you need some more ports opened by them to allow you to connect. i know a few people that have had to do this.

Same thing happens to me. I can always connect to some of my friends but not to others.
This happens all the time. The servers are pretty rubbish at the mo and i am having loads of problems at the moment too! try reseting your router and trying again. get them to invite you, or you invite them! hope this helps!
ok don't worry it's not u it's activision recently cod 4 has been playing up nd soon they have promised it will be fixed
