I will be using my laptop, on the internet just fine. Then someone will just turn on the PS3 (not even be playing a game yet) and my laptop goes offline. Try to reconnect and it can't even find our wifi network. After the PS3 is turned off then we have to reset the wireless modem and then can reconnect with the computers.
It has nothing to do with playing a game on the PS3 online (we don't even have a game that plays online yet). This happens the instant the PS3 is even turned on. We have high speed cable internet. It isn't a bandwidth problem.
How can we fix it?Ps3 wipes out the wireless internet?

It might not be able to take to many wireless devices on the network at once
