How to go online with my ps3? HELP PLZ!?

my ps3 keeps coming up with ';error occured during communication with the server. this is a DNS error (80710101)'; ive done everything, turned off the ps3, disconeected the modems cables for 15 minutes. ive done everything the playstation telephone service told me to do aswell and yet it wont connect?



the IP address works, but the connection doesnt?



i have a wired modem.



Can someone tell me how i can go online?

It might be your router. Try unplugging it and not just your modem.



Are you trying to get on and play with a dial up connection? Or Telephone line with DSL? If you're trying to get on and play with dial up, that's your problem. It's too slow. If it's DSL, try calling the company you get it through. You will need the DNS Server addresses to add manually into your PS3's connection set up. If you have tried all that and you don't have a wireless router, then I don't know, sorry.
