First, the router:

Well, anything from Linksys is your best bet. I use my old WRT54G Wireless router for my PS3, Wii, and everything else. You can find some really good ones for pretty cheap at Best Buy or Fry's Electronics (I ESPECIALLY recommend Fry's).

Now, the PS3:

Once, you've bought your router, you can finally set up your PS3 for use on the PlayStation Network (provided you set up your router FIRST). All you have to do is let your PS3 scan for any available wireless access points and it will automatically recognize your router's SSID (the name of your connection). Just choose the connection and there you go! Easy-squeazy-lemon-peasy! Hope this helped. How to go online with my ps3 using my USB Broadband and a wireless router?
