Well, im trying to go online with my PS3, i connect the ethernet cable from the modem of the computer into the specific slot on the back of the PS3, and turn on the internet and everything, and when i go to make the connection, it is able to obtain an IP address, but no internet connection, and therefore does not work. This is through a wired connection just for those who didnt notice. Can anyone tell me why its not working/What i need to do, and if i have all the things needed to go online? 1. U may be using a bad cable, sometimes different cables dont work.
2. do u have broad band internet not dial-up.
3. first of all contact ur ISP or local computer people. They should be able to help.
4.if none of these work call the Playstation 3 Help line and they may be able to help u.
5. if a fails get a new PS3
u should of got a booklet with ur PS3 called 'Quick reference' that booklet tells u how to do it and what u need.
