How is online for PS3?

I have been going back and forth on wether to buy a ps3 or 360 and I decided ps3.I decided ps3 because of the free online and built in wi-fi because xbox live just seems like an over rated pain with all the expensive stuff you have to buy.One thing I want to know is how is online gameplay on ps3 now? I know 2 years ago it wasnt the best,but is it better now??? THANKS!! :)How is online for PS3?
basically the playstation network is the same except free not quite as many headsets (because you have to buy them) and there aren't as many people online. It's not really a problem though because if 8000 is still a lot. playstation has better exclusives with the exception of Halo L4D (which the sequel will be on ps3 it is confirmed) and Gears of War which dissapointed me. Ps3 has Uncharted Killzone (equivilent to Halo) and some pretty sweet cames coming out. not to mention it's only $299. you don't have to buy a battery pack or a charger, internet browser, and of coarse true 1080i and blueray. and you can message people during games don't listen to the other guy he's sillyHow is online for PS3?

Well, in short, you get what you pay for. The Xbox 360 has much better online quality. The servers never crash unless schedualed matinence (except on few rare occasions) and the friends organzing is wonderful on it. However, while the 360 live cost $50 a year and the PS3 is free... My PS3 has laggy server problems, you get DLC way later than 360 games, and the friends list is not as organized as 360. I use my PS3 more however, because it is a nice blu-ray player. Really up to you, if your an online gamer, go 360.

No is still laggy. I would go with the 360 in my opinion since it has more game variety, and when you buy the games you can be lucky most of the time, and get a 48 hour trial membership, or even a 1 month like my case with gta iv.

It's good. Its just the xbox live experiance with the Wii server... The thing i dont like about it is that PS has a small font.. the good thing is that its free.. and if your into onling gaming.. then it should do the job.. i dont really see a big backup for the PSN community... none the less... its has had its share of improvement

Honestly, its great, but they could do alot better, there are quite a few small gripes about it while comparing it to xbox live, while these small things such as not being able to message someone while playing a game might not matter to you, they start to add up.
go with the ps3 its less expensive and free psn online service and u get to use an internet browser and the online gets better after every update
PSN is the best.

Best of all, its FREE.

The 360 you have to pay monthly, so i would prefer the Ps3.
